About our school

Eden Marine High School is a comprehensive, rural and proud DEC public school on the far south coast of NSW. Our school represents the diverse communities from which the school draws its enrolments. The school's geographical drawing area ranges from Tura Beach (35 kilometres to the north), through to Wonboyn (33 kilometres to the south) and Wyndham (42 to the west). The majority of students come from the coastal towns of Merimbula, Pambula, and Eden.

Marine education is an important feature of the school’s curriculum and culture. The school fosters constructive and productive links across the community to maximize learning opportunities for its students and to support its positive contribution to the community. Vocational education programs and a recently established Trade Training Centre are features of the diverse curriculum that offers students a wide range of experiences in classrooms and in the surrounding community and environs of the school. Eden Marine High School is a proud and active member of the Sapphire Coast Learning Community.
Eden Marine High School is a Centre for Excellence and participates in the National Partnerships Low SES program and Country Area Program.
The school’s mission statement is to “assist each student to reach their potential” and emphasizes the core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience. These values are taught explicitly in the classroom and are evident in a variety of contexts around the school with the aim of improved learning outcomes for all our students.
Eden Marine High has a strongly supportive school community including a small but active P&C and a variety of community partnerships programs. The school has developed and implemented a number of initiatives to strengthen relationships with the Eden Aboriginal community and has received a 2012 South Coast Region Excellence of Aboriginal Education Award.

The school is located in close proximity to Aslings Beach and Lake Curalo with extensive playing fields and excellent facilities.

Please take the time to visit our school. Our friendly staff and students are more than willing to show prospective students and parents through our magnificent facility. Please contact our Relieving Principal Mrs Leesa Wungluck for an appointment by calling 02 6496 0000 between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm.
